If you waived pip on a vehicle is 1993, is this good for ever and on all vehicles or are you to be offered it on each new vehicle you are insuring?

Hi gctiger..

Welcome..

See, it all depends on whether you're allowed to have a PIP waiver in your state.

In order to turn off PIP you'd need to apply in writing. Once you're allowed, the waiver would be with your agent and be kept on a file. You may apply to have it restored at a later date. Then your PIP waiver would be voided. But remember that once you've had the waiver, such PIP coverage would not be offered to you automatically when you'd like your auto insurance to be renewed. Hi Tiger, if you are living in a state where PIP is an optional coverage you can either include it in your policy or can leave it. However, since auto policies are renewable plans, that is you have to renew the plan after certain intervals you have to opt for the waiver each time.

The insurance regulatory body in your state would be able to provide you with more information regarding your state laws associated with PIP. On the other hand you'd need to consult with your agent.
