Can he charge storage? Sure. Are you willing to pay them?
Did anyone lead the insurance company to think that there would be no storage... as in telling them it was towed to a friends house? Did anyone mention that storage would be charged?
You see where I'm going with this? Sure, everyone would like to have a few extra dollars in their pocket but the adjuster is not going to like it if they think they are being taken advantage of. Would your friend change _you_ storage if the insurance company does not pay it? If not, why should they be stuck with the bill? Granted, if it was towed into a storage lot they would pay the storage... so the adjuster might be willing to pay something in this case. But again, the adjuster may simply feel someone is taking advantage of the situation just because their is insurance on the vehicle. If it were me and I did not want to pay it. I might tell you to pay the bill and submit proof of payment to me for consideration. That is, I'll yank your chain if I feel you are hanking mine. If you told me, "hey, my friend has been storing the vehicle but he's a little upset and would like to paid something for his trouble. I saved a few hundred dollars, can you kick $50 to him?", then I might just pay it. It would look less like you were trying to scam me.
Just my 2 cents.

WEll the insurance adjuster was told that the car is at this other guys house and wasnt at some shop ......the guy that has the car was the one that came to me yesterday and told me he wanted storage for the car since it is on his land and he was told that he could if he pushed it have them pay him storage .....the car had been totalled and they are gonna salvage it ....all the guys wants is whats his b/c he did say that if it was at a shop somewhere they would charge the compnay so much a day till they came and got the car and he was basically allowed to do the same

I'd say he's right... but many shops (most) won't charge for storage if the vehicle is moved out pretty quick. They could, but most won't as it's a customer service issue. It's towed into their shop so they'd get the business if if was repairable. If they then piss the owner off by charging storage then the customer probably would not take their next wrecked vehicle into them for repairs.
But storage facilities would charge storage.
I don't know what "b/c" is.
Why was your vehicle towed to a friends house and not a police towed lot, your own home, or a repair center?
