I have no personal knowledge of the person or his organization. A quick search online reveals that it is just another "lead-generating" thing that probably doesn't work nearly as well as simply talking to people.

Too many agents are looking for guaranteed success, which does not exist apart from honest effort.

Well, truly speaking the advertising brochure was surely a milestone, but there are other faster processes these days. Though I don't rely on tele-marketing, I must say that it's a process that covers a huge database within a short span of time. Once the caller's identity is validated, it might just take a few minutes to convey all the product features to your customer.

But at a cost of almost $1 each for the brochure and postage, and a response rate of less than 1 percent, most mail campaigns are a dismal failure. One gets about the same mileage out of a newspaper ad for a lot less money. And even the weekly Pennysaver kind of publication may do better with just a "reader ad" instead of a "display ad".

But nothing beats talking to actual people face-to-face, cold, warm, or hot, and then getting referrals from them after closing a piece of business. Talk to 10 people, set 1-4 appointments, close 1-4 pieces of business -- the numbers are the numbers, and usually the more one works that "system" the more solid the numbers become.
