Will my filing Chapter 13 Bankruptcy in Texas affect my lice

My husband and are being forced to file chapter 13 to avoid a foreclosure. I don't want to lose my liscense.

Although your insurance license will most likely be unaffected by a bankruptcy (unless directly connected with the failure of an insurance business), your bankruptcy filing and adjudication are reportable to the Dept of Insurance.

Unlikely to effect your license, and probably even unlikely to effect current appointments with companies. You will however, have to at least explain this everytime you seek a new appointment with an insurance company. If you are securities licensed, this is a different story.

Hey BNTRS, I understand that the OP needs to explain it every time she seeks a fresh appointment. But, how's it different if she's securities licensed?
