I need to get some ins for permit driver (my adult daughter) in ca. it takes a couple of months for the driving appt. I'm fighting a ticket that susp. my lic. Just so at least one of us can drive. Who can we get permit ins from?

Sorry to have to tell you, but if your adult daughter only has a "learner's permit", she must still have a LICENSED driver in the car when she drives. If your license is currently under suspension (for driving with no insurance, perhaps), your presence in the vehicle is not going to count.
Apparently you still don't have auto insurance. If you did, and your daughter resides in your home, she could be covered under your policy.
She can apply for her own auto insurance through any carrier of her choice. License or learner's permit, doesn't matter. In California, her premium will be based, in part, on her years of driving experience (0), not her age.

Then I guess in CA you're no longer a risk in the eyes of your carrier if your driving record for the initial years are good. How about a woman who starts driving at the age of 30? Will she be considered at par with a risky teenager?
