My husband was told by a relative that his father left him some insurance for his education. He does not know the name of the insurance company. How would he began to locate this insurance, in the state of Georgia.

Contact the MIB and pay the fee to do a search. Success rate is low, but it's better than nothing.

Another way to go is to scour his father's house and look into all the documents and papers he has left. The papers/documents should be there.

What do you mean online companies for insurance? Buying life insurance online is kind of difficult. There are a few options out there, mostly really bad ones. Why not contact an agent locally?

Why not google buy life insurance online? You'll find more companies wishing to sell you life insurance than you can handle. Are any of them good? Probably not. That's what you get for buying it over the internet.
