Do to unforeseen circumstances I need the 800 dollars a month my health insurance is costing me. If I remember correctly legally in the state of Ohio I am able to cancel anytime regardless of plan. I am however having trouble finding documentation on the OIC site. Any info in regards to this would be greatly appreciated. I fully understand the risks and don't need any info on group plans just need info on getting out. Thanks in advance.

I guess in order to cancel your policy you'll need to convey your wish to your carrier. At the same time, I'd like you to go through a sample cancellation letter -

If your coverage is a group insurance plan, you will have to talk to your employer about its restrictions on joining or disenrolling in the plan. You may be required to wait until open enrollment to terminate your coverage. Or you could quit -- that would end your coverage.

If your policy is an individual health plan, you have the right to cancel coverage by failing to pay your premium or by writing a letter to the insurer with a 5-day advance notice of cancellation.
