My 15 year old was drives in the snow and ice when she put her blinker om to turn into the driveway and was out of the road when I truck hit us so hard from behind it totaled the car.
What is next that the insurance company can do for her?? Pay off the car and leave her with nothing?? I don't know

The insurance company would pay her the Actual Cash Value (ACV) of the totaled car minus the deductible. The ACV of the damaged car depends on the mileage, make, the condition that the car was in prior to the damage, interior body, tires and also any additional enhancement or equipments added to it. The insurance company is not liable to replace your car unless the company has offered a Guaranteed Replacement Cost coverage for new cars.

If the vehicle was financed the insurance company will make a payment to the finance company and anything left over after paying the vehicle will go to your daughter. If the car was paid in full all of the cash will go to your daughter. The payment will be the actual cash value of the vehicle minus the deductible.
