business in his name i shold not hae signed but i did in his name but had no authority to do so how do i word it

YES, it most certainly CAN be a problem. Because the signature is below a statement that leads the insurance company to believe they are dealing with the right person. In the OP's case, there has been a deception.

If an agent was involved in the transaction, things just became more complex, since two persons -- from opposite sides -- are each misrepresenting the transaction.

Most states will allow the purchase of certain coverage on the life or health of a spouse without the signature and consent of the insured. Depends on the state... Oregon allows it on your spouse and dependent, minor children and most states have similar rules.

Again... depends on the coverage and state.
