Hi Usman !
You're absolutely correct in depicting insurance as a reality...and perhaps it much more. But just the way insurance has become a part of our lives today, likewise insurance fraud has become a part of the entire insurance boom !
Hence we dare not term 'insurance' as a fraud, but a simple and helpful tool. But at the same time we must recognize the very existence of another term which gets well associated with it. And its called 'Insurance Fraud' now-a-days. You must be well aware of Tax Evasion being the largest crime in the US closely followed by Insurance fraud as the second. Its high time that we unite and raise an alarm against the malpractices being conducted with the different insurance procedures.
Hence I'm sure that you'd empathize with us and raise our endeavor at laying the focus of our mission.
Hi Evan, its nice to hear from you after quite sometime…
Its for sure that Insurance and insurance fraud are two distinct terms but very closely related to each other. In the recent times Insurance fraud has become a more organized crime in our country, especially in the field of car insurance. Some organized rings are operating with view to earn money projecting false promises and claims.
Different segments from within the masses including the insurance companies, agents, lawyers, health association are all involved in these fraudulent practices ….thereby raising the cost of insurance, that is premium. And this in turn affects all of us to pay higher premium rates every year.
We must stop this right now.

Always complete a home inventory. Close your eyes and think f every item and detail in the room yu are in right now. I guarantee you will leave something out. At the very least, take photos and video of your house/apartment. Secure them somewhere safe. You just never know when you may need them. There are great resources at Digitally Documented's website. Check it out. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved.
i think the insurance is a protection from balefulness. if you are really to be compensated, i think your insurance company will not cheat you.
Yes life, a good insurance company will deliver what you pay for. Some can be a tad zealous about certain things, like nullifying a claim due to you putting fresh paint on a car without telling them.
They do lose a lot of money when you make a claim, but losing a few thousand dollars is much better than losing a few thousand customers. Especially if those customers take them to court over breaking their end of the bargain.

Thats true Michelle, especially if your leaving a place that you rented out. A less-than-honest Landlord might gyp you out of your security deposit by claiming you left the place a mess. He'll probably say that he had to hire "professionals" and take the money out of your security deposit. Which will sometimes, by astonishing coincidence, be EXACTLY what you paid as a security deposit.
I heard that cock-and-bull story fairly often on an anti-scam forum I went to. _________________ I have a new personal crusade. I'm going to hunt down the people who have strong opinions on subjects they don't understand. Then I'll bop them with this cardboard tube.- Dogbert
I ain't a legal expert, take what I say with a grain of salt.
I have record of everything in my house and pictures of everything valuable to back it up, with a list of serial numbers and reciepts if possible to back it up also.
I think the pictures are good, because then you have the proof that you did own it. You can download all your information onto a disc or cd and store it in a safe fireproof place, nice thing about cd's is that you can always edit them too, if you get rid of something, take it off, it you purchase something, add it, etc.
