in august 2008 I went on medical leave to have foot surgery was scheduled to go back to work in november, will I got an infection in my foot doctor wanted me to take another month of medical leave my company would not extend my leave another month they said they could not hold my position applied for unemployment was eiglible started receiving my benefits. company appealed my benefits went to the hearing won my case but company rep at the heraring said I was eigible for long term disabilty for 24 months I am now no longer on long term disability my question since i am able to work and looking for work can I reappy for my unemployment .

I was laid off from a job where I was given "accommodations" for a disability that I had. I was on unemployment for about a year but looking for work in my specialized field. Friends told me that I should apply for SS Disability which I did. As soon as I applied, I no longer filed for unemployment. This left me without any income for the past six months. I was just awarded SS Disability, and was given a disability award all the way back to the time I was laid off! What do I do? Am I required to pay unemployment or SS Disability back? Confused. . . I don't want to look like I am being dishonest and had no intention of claiming both.

My unemployment still continues, and i applied for diability in May 2010. My case is one its 2nd step to get me approved I go to there doctor next week. I can not live with out the unemployment so I continue,collecting. What is going to happen to me if I get approved for disibility. My unemployment case is in NY, and I moved to AZ of 09 I filed my dds case in AZ, I was told that it was ok to apply, but I would not get any back pay because I will have to pay back unemployment, so they keep all the back pay, and when I get approved for SSD, I would only get (or start ) my DDS monthly checks.
Am I in trouble? I waited to apply a yr for DSS, not knowing NYS unemployment was going to open an old case I am entilted to. Please help me.( can not go out much and have not driven a car since. I talk to a doctor weekly, but I still get up set and cry all the time. I have been treated for bipolar-stress disorder over ten yrs. I worked, but after the car accident i have PTSD. I have neen on meds for over tens. During all this time now I have systoms of RSD, this was told to me by my doctor.
