I hurt my leg at home and cant return to work for a while but my job doesn't want to lay me off just keep me on stand by untill i get better. Can i collect unemployment until i can go back?

No. If you are disabled, then you do not fit the definition of unemployed -- you must be able to, and actively seeking, work to collect an unemployment insurance benefit, in most cases.
