|
|
There was a catastrophic hail storm in my area. 75% of the roofs in our town were replaced. Hail noted on my ridgecap were within the size that defined "catastrophic", there was also damage to my gutters, decks and shingles. I had 5 contractors confirm hail damage. American Family has denied my claim, appeal and attorney request for payment. I know am told in order to sue I have the burden of proof. I dont know how much more proof I need! I am so frustrated! One thing that just burns me is that my agent got his WHOLE house done, roof, siding...he even added some upgrades! I wonder if he had to jump through the hoops I have jumped. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

Is the denial because they say your damage was not caused by hail or some other reason? Since there's not much controversy when it comes to hail damage, I suspect that the denial may be based on your damage being from a prior storm. Just guessing, but otherwise it's hard to imagine why you're being denied.

If you already have an attorney he/she should be the one concerned with producing "proof" not you.

What does any of this have to do with th damage to your house?
Also, insurance did not pay for any upgrades. |
