the stock market is showing it's not even a good idea to buy stock in companies.

The stock market is a lot like the bargain bin at the grocery store. If you dig through it you may find some good deals that are priced way lower than what they are worth...BUT if you are not careful you could end up without your money and sick...LOL!

I think we ALL need to remember that the Insurance companies are having a rough time with this bad economy, as well. Things are getting tougher ( Insurance payments going up, etc.). But...it's not the Insurance Agents, THEMSELVES,..it's the 'higher ups' who call the shots with premiums. My Insurance rate went up, a bit, as well.

Yea, LORI,..I know. I'm just saying I know it's difficult on people, but, what's the sense on moaning about it? There's really nothing WE can do about rates going up..ya know? Just have to 'ride it out' like everyone else. FIREYONE...it WOULD be great if paychecks go up with the economy, wouldn't it? LOL

I thought that was a funny one. I hear now they are considering using health care benefits as part of your income and they may tax a part of that. So along with car insurance rates going up so will stress levels.

Yes, insurance sales is a recession proof occupation BECAUSE we're not sitting around waiting for the government. We write our own paycheck.

Some of the comments on this thread are total rhetoric.

To wit:

WOULD be great if paychecks go up with the economy, wouldn't it?

Sure SD... let's set the minimum wage at $100 dollars per hour. Wouldn't that be great!

Nobody is preventing anybody from improving their own circumstances EXCEPT the person themself.

SD I truly love your comments because they are so typical political rhetoric.

Wait GARY!! Are you suggesting that people take responsibility for their own shortcomings? I had a lady tell me yesterday that she was sick of the government reducing her food stamps all the time. She claimed she just couldn't make it on what she made and that she had to be able to feed herself. She was getting $260 a month on food stamps...FOR JUST HER!! She has a job...at McDonalds...and works 10-15 hours a week! She doesn't feel she should have to work more than that...and she's frustrated because everybody else seems to have nicer things!

Every Man for Himself...LOL!

Great post Chris!

YES, that's what I'm saying!

If I don't work I don't make any money.

It's that simple.

That's the beauty of the insurance business.

The top producer for Aviva last year wrote $65,000,000 in annuity premium. He didn't do it working 10 - 15 hours per week. He did it WORKING 10 - 15 HOURS PER DAY!

For the mathematically challanged that's about $5,000,000 dollars in INCOME. Now if you could do what he can do you can earn the money he makes.

Making money requires work, if you're not willing to work for money then you have sentenced YOURSELF to being an indentured servant.

:P Wheeeeeeeeewww I really feel better now! 8)
