Senior Healthcare Consultants/RJR Insurance's business practices are currently being investigated.
Promises Made-Promises Broken
This thread is dedicated to the discussion of SHC's business practices, agent and management [mis]conduct. Representations made to new agents about leads, marketing, and commissions, management structure, travel requirements, and agent impound / equity / hold-back accounts.
This is, by no means, a place to slander. libel, or defame SHC. Any such posts will be eliminated. My purpose is to gather information from as many sources as possible and use this to "help" that company with their future business practices/agent relations.
I am hopeful this can be done without litigation and the media attention a class action lawsuit would surely generate.

I believe they need to be investigated BIG TIME!!! Also they can't get contracted with certain companies due to their BAD practices!!! MOO!!!! I would recommend that you go on our own don't have a MIDDLE MAN taking your MONEY!!! Grow Wealthy with Our Future - is only about the UPPER MANAGEMENT!!! They are a JOKE!!!

Thanks to all of you who have taken the time and energy to post here. I very positive story does not bode well for all the others that have failed. It stuns me that the SHC manager never came clean. I think the biggest part is the lack of audited financials. That speaks volumes by itself. Thank you for saving me and my family from likely hardship.

s but get the red-white and blue card and a voided check. I had a lot of trust in this decision I made to join the company but to find out I was wrong because I didnt honor the seniors decision to Think About It. And to check back with them tomorrow. Closed a many policies like that but got chewed out about it! All I have to say about SHC/RJR is to run and dont stop until you have a large wallet to support your decision to join their scam.

If you want to sell health and life insurance with no upfront fees. I would recommend Ritter Insurance. You can google them and they have a fabulous website w unlimited number of companies to get appointed with for all your seniors needs. Plus this group doesn't take your commissions, the insurance companies pay you directly. There is no middle man.
Save your money and don't join SHC. The upfront fees is a SCAM, the leads are a waste of money, they won't pay you on time or if ever, their communication skills w consultants is horrific( they have caller ID and they really do screen their calls) and they have been banned from at least one company MOO on never able to sell products again.
RUN from SHC!! Don't give them a dime or a chance to never pay you for your time and hard work!! RUN!

I'm going to push back on your comment just a bit, 911.
I want to pinpoint for you exactly where the scam is. It's not in the leads, which cost about what leads cost anywhere and work about as well or poorly as leads set up by anyone.
The upfront fees? Yeah, that's a scam, especially since SHC upper management knows that 95 to 98 percent of their base-level consultants either flunk out or are deliberately pushed out. That's a hefty chunk of change.
Agreed that they will not pay you as they should. Not only is the commission schedule one of the worst in the industry (I really should get around to posting the complete list here), they are notorious for finding a way out of paying an agent what is owed.
The real diabolical part of this scam, at least from an agent's point of view, is the setup of "the system" itself. If you are being interviewed by SHC, you need to question why you are being sent out two, three, or even four hours from home every day on preset appointments when Mrs. Jones down the street needs a Medicare supplement.
Folks, Medicare Supplement coverage is an absolute need product. A person doesn't need it any more or less if they're living out in your state's version of outer Siberia. You are being sent out (and SHC will tell you it's "the system" sending you out, but it really is real people, not an algorithm) solely to put additional emotional and financial pressure on you. They want you to sell a handful of issues, break you and collect the residuals on your sales for an average of ten years.
That's the business model. Don't ever believe it's anything more or less than that. And they will do whatever it takes - lie in the prospecting process (and they do), lie in the training process (and they do), make your life an emotional and financial hell (and they do), and withhold money that rightfully belongs to you (and they have).
So, yes, run like hell. But know why you're running, and if you've been taken by these frauds, make sure you're contacting Mark to help take them down.

(Just a thought..)How can an 'Insurance company', like this one, STILL have people working for them? (I'm assuming they do, anyway). Employess, that have been there for a long period of time, should KNOW what the 'Management' is up to, by now.

SHC is a consultant company that gets you appointed with just a few insurance companies. When the get you appointed with the insurance companies,they make the insurance companies pay them your commissions and renewals. They get all correspondence except your agent website.
SHC has no compassion or concern for making sure they pay the consultants what they have earned. There is always EXCUSES but hardly any satisfaction. Remember you are not an employee as SHC pays none of your taxes. They just
"grow wealthy off all the upfront fees and non payment of
commissions and renewals.
I can clearly tell you this is a job ONLY for those that like long hours, driving 4-6 hours a day, living in a hotel, being scolded for not making the sale, no family life, and have unlimited income as they TOTALLY SUCK for paying you on time if ever!!
PS - I just noticed that Dave Chambers who is a BIG WIG from SHC is now on Great American Board - that I totally scary!! Read his testimonial on the SHC website. Then know that Mr Dale has now got one of his allies on their board. That is very scary!! GAFRI has some great products bu they might have fallen into the SCAM!!
