Hi!

I am trying to get more opinions regarding websites that sell health insurance. So far, I found ehealth.com, anyhealthinsurance.com and vimo.com
Has anybody bought from those places? any recommendations?

Thank you!

Purchase health insurance through a local agent if possible.

Hello..OHIO HEALTH. Yep..I remember talking. How ya doing? ..Holidays good? I've been looking into one of those 'Discount Health' items myself. Just the price of having 'regular' Insurance is getting a bit high. Some of the 'discount' ones seem pretty good, however.......from what I've read, anyway.

That is until you find out you have cancer, have a heart attack, etc. etc. Then you will be in trouble.

Hey, DGOLDENZ. I've just been 'scanning' the 'Health Discount' stuff. I REALLY don't know what all it DOES cover..or..shall I say DOESN'T cover. Are their any that are 'better' ( lack of a better word) than other ones? Any suggestions?

You health insurance agents are so desperate to sell a policy -I would not put anything past any of you.

Sd, the discount plans often don't cover major health expenses as mentioned by dgoldenz. The discount membership card will merely offer you a discount at the doctors' visits and prescription drugs, but you have to bear the rest of the expenses.

The discount plans are cheap 'cause unlike the insurer the discount provider isn't promising to cover the costs if a covered peril occurred. The health insurance provider would cover the entire medical cost minus the co-pay as and when required. Also, wide range of coverage are available with the insurer which the discount card can't provide you with.

Hi,

Hope you all have hard of the Blue Cross Blue Shield group and the Kaiser Permanente. Kaiser are the biggest non-profiteering HMO and operate across 9 states in America. They offer 30 healthcare centres.

Blue Cross on the other hand offer low premium coverage to you and your family. Their group insurance plans are also good.

Thanks, Fatman

Discount cards are only good for RX and doctor visits only just like Jeremy said.

I don't think ALL of Insurance Agents are bad. ..only SOME have of them have 'rubbed me wrong.' So..i guess medical Discounts aren't good in the long run? Thanks for the advice.
