A couple of years back someone had explained the possibility of covering hearing aids through health insurance programs. Are there any programs that included it already?

Covering hearing aids could be too expensive. I don't think it could even be covered under Medicare.

I guess we do often suggest or imply things that haven't been inquired by the OP. It's simply a notion!

Well, I simply wished to clarify that I haven't heard of any program that has included hearing aids (not even Medicare, which covers so many things otherwise).

Does Medicare Cover Hearing Exams and Hearing Aids?
In general, Medicare does not cover routine hearing exams or hearing aids of any type. In some cases, diagnostic hearing exams are covered by Medicare Part B, but this is only when they are ordered by a doctor. If your hearing problem is due to a specific injury or disease—such as removal of brain tumour or head injury—Medicare may cover the charges. Your doctor or hearing specialist will be able to explain which hearing exams are covered by Medicare and the conditions for a diagnostic hearing exam.
