Hi, I'm a practicing independent contractor. I'd love to know my options for both health insurance and disability insurance.

What do you mean by a "discount plan" ?

What I meant is that you get a pretty healthy break for doing things that promote good health. Like eating right, tracking diet and exercise online, etc.

I have a chronic condition, so I actually have a nurse that calls me like once a month to monitor how things are going. They are really good, if I need help with any issue at all they are on it. If I have a problem with my provider or anyone in my network, they help me resolve it. I find this part of the plan to be awesome.

I had a total hysterectomy and had a lot of questions that the doctor could not answer up front. They took the issue and gave me all types of information that really eased my mind. Am really happy with this part of our medical plan.

Alright Good natured how the heck do you exercise online? I can only imagine how this is possible. With out health insurance they have wellness clinics where you can go mand get physicals, hearing and all the good stuff checked out. They also have twenty four - seven on duty nurses that answer a toll free number if you ever need medical information or if you are just unsure whether you need to go top the hospitol or stay hopme and take care of something your self. They wioll even expalin your medicines to you. The pain clinic I go to is notorious in prescribing things that interact..they always say the chances are slim to none but I do not like to take a chance so if I get put on any new meds I always call the toll frree number on the back of my card.

Oh my god, fireyone are you serious, I did not mean exercise online, what I meant was that you track it all online.

They will monitor it if you want them to and make suggestions if you want their involvement. It is all geared toward a healthier life style, the healthier you are the less you are to be sick or have injury, therefore reducing doctors visits and claims that will be filed for them.

Wow I really had thought this is what you were talking about. I see those WII fits (game console) and thought maybe it connected online to some exercise p[lace or something. You never know these days.

I do have to do something, my body is falling apart, literally, degenerative bone loss, especially in my back. I have to get something that I can do at home, I have an inversion table, it helps but it does not do any strength training. I am looking into the best things to give me more strength in my legs and back to support it more.

Sorry GN I did answer you but I do not see my reply for the last time you pasted. I am glad to see you are finally getting to a doctor that can help you. Have you taken into consideration applying for SSDI? Sounds like you may need it.

ALSO....some of these 'on line' programs can be scams, too. Just want to take your money, etc. So, becareful of these.
