My mother passed away and I need to know how to notify her health insurance company so they do not auto deduct her November payment

Lisa, get the name of her insurance company or agent. You should be able to find it on her insurance card or soma type of mailing from them. Advise them of what is going on. You may also call or go to her bank and show explain to them what is going on and they should be able to assist you. I would imagine if it does get taken out that someone will refund the money. Sorry for your loss.

Lisa, I’m so so sorry to hear about your loss Sad

Contact her employer if the policy is through her employment. Inform the human resource department and submit a copy of death certificate with them. If you know the insurance company and/or the agent, you should inform them immediately. The policy document must have discussed the process to discontinue the coverage, you may have to send a letter in writing to the insurer requesting them to drop the coverage. However, at times, a simple phone call may suffice.
