Can someone please tell me about the Condo insurance criteria? I'd like to know how much condo insurance I may need.

I hope there are 2 types of condo insurance policies. One is the 'master policy' and the other one is the 'unit owner'. Which one are you pointing at?

Personal liability coverage is a certain requirement for a Condo owner. If a condo owner is involved in a lawsuit wherein he or an immediate family member is being sued for damages caused to another person or a person's property, then PL coverage would protect them.

Go through the document of declaration provided by your association in order to be sure of your insurance needs. If any of the clauses mentioned in your declaration seems inexplicable, get it reviewed by an expert. The answer to your query actually lies in the declaration only.
