The short answer is "Yes".
I don't see that you are doing anything "wrong". You are building a good blog and that's what we all should want do do.
Things you may want to consider:
(1) Are your post titles and article content "keyword" rich so that the search engines, like Google, will stand up and take notice?
(2) Have you manually submitted your blog to blog directories and blog search engines? There are several out there where you can list your blog for free, but it will take a little time.
(3) Have you really taken advantage of all the different types of Google Adsense ads? Each page of your blog can have - 3 "Content" ads; 3 "Referral" ads; a "Link" text box; and a "Search" box. This means that each page of your blog can have at least "8" Adsense ads. If your blog contains 50 pages, that means you can display "400" Adsense ads. We are dealing with the "law of large numbers" here. The more ads we have, the better chance of someone "clicking" on them and that's what we want.
(4) I notice you have created at least one link to this community, but have you linked to every other "quality" blog from this community? That may help.
I would like to suggest that you go to the blogging blog and read the articles regarding "Content", because the amount and style of your blog's content will determine its popularity with Google and the other search engines.
