I will soon be appointed as an agent as soon as I get the group 1.

My question is, can I also be appointed with other insurance companies? The one that has hired me as an FA is BankersLife and there is an independent agency that I would like to do business with as well.

Is it possible to be appointed with bankers and also with 3 other insurance companies through an independent agency?

That depends on your contract with Bankers. They are a captive company and you'll have to speak with your manager and look at your contract with them to see if this is doable.

Good luck with this!

The three other companies dont care but bankers sure will! most good managers check the insurance dept websites to see who u are appointed with. Agents were fired for this all the time when I worked at bankers for 3 years.

It's likely a no no, especially if you are new. If your personal production at Banker's is enough to make them happy, then you'll have options. That's the way it typically works.
