I have been working as a private investigator handling injury claims. I sub contract claims thru a party who works directly with adjusters and there special investigation units. I am license in three states as a private investigator. Would that qualify as experience after completing the required education. I have been in my current field for 6.5 years.

Give that your field expertise is concentrated in the area of investigation, why don't you consider applying for a position in the SIU of an insurance company? You have been working with SIUs and adjusters which should give you an edge.
