I’m from CA and a newbie in this field. I’ve no clue about insurance agents’ salary. How much could I make by joining with Farmers? Currently, I’m taking insurance courses with a local agent. If I pass the exam, how much could I make if I work independently?

Yes, Max is right! You have to take pre-licensing courses from a vendor approved by the California Department of Insurance.
