i have just joined SBI, india's largest bank and been placed in their insurance sector...
I really want to make a career in this and want to be successful here...
So i really need your tips and suggestions...

First of all, congratulations on your new position.
I have no knowledge of insurance in India, but what we do have in common is that we both work with individuals and families to help them plan for the unknown. As long as you stay completely focused on this goal, you will succeed.
I don't understand why you chose blogspot to create your insurance blog. I have tried that free blog and frankly, I just don't like the feel of the whole thing. You are very limited in what you can do there.
Why not start your blog here, it is absolutely free and you will have more freedom to design your blog. We also have a blog with tips and suggestions on how to start your blog and design its contents.
To get your free blog, just PM Lakemen and tell him the name of your blog and he will get it going for you.

What is your role in the insurance division of SBI? Are you in Bancassurance or an insurance agent?

Hi,
SBI is certainly doing great business in India for all these years. SBI life insurance has really come up and aiming to compete with LIC india - the premier life insurance co. According to the rest of my family (in India), they were even trying to reach out to people in the remote villages.
SBI being a core banking concern have earned the faith of millions over the years and are trying to cash in on their coverage needs as well.

I do not have any insurance yet. The main reason is there is not a single professional insurance agent I came across till date. Most of the agents were just trying to reach their target. No body gave me the detailed information or solved my doubts. Right now I'm looking for some professional who can guide me through the life insurance process. Where can I meet professional insurance agents??  Who can guide me? |

There are quite a few good agents agents that are on this forum that would be glad to help you with the info you need. What are your concerns involving getting life insurance?
I mainly do health myself but would be glad to answer as best I can.
