If you have a dispute with an insurance company regarding your claim and cannot resolve it the Depratment of Insurance for your state is where you should go as a next step. Your question doesn't disclose the nature of the dispute - is it over the repair of your car or an injury? Are you working with your own carrier or the other parties carrier? All of these things matter in providing guidance. Attorneys are a last resort as they cost YOU money not the carrier. Well to reply to you query we need to know the nature of the dispute.

-What is the reason of dispute?
-Are you not satisfied with the claim value?
-Is the insurance company denying a justified claim?
