Hi Junk Drawer,
I have been seeing quite a bit of buzz about this Conspiracy Report thing too. It caught my eye and so I read it. I actually read all of it and since you were asking for an opinion I'll give mine.
Pretty scary stuff. And the bad part is they are hitting the bulls eye.
They are clearly sharing what anybody who has been in this industry as long as I have already knows... and so that's my opinion.
Conspiracy Report shares some good insights and I know I'm going to get all the stuff...heck, it's free at http://www.insurancemavericks.com ...I think it's there or that other maverick site, besides nobody else has been bold enough to tell the truth...even if it is controversial...I like that. Like the report said..guess that's why they call themselves mavericks...so you asked...and I shared...
Guys, I see no reason why it should be easier for all agents to manipulate the mass comm system so effectively. So basically it seems that the mavericks are trying to put up their best efforts to gather a good number of email ids through such ads. If not they are certainly trying to build up a good network of independent agents through such connectivity.I'd rather choose to wait for any comments that come from the agents. Regards.
I wonder if there is such an easy option available for generating mass business, why so many agents are still toiling with cold callings, fixing appointments and so forth. I sincerely doubt there is any truth behind what these Mavericks are claiming. I'd agree with fatman, it must be a way to gather sufficient e-mail address, which may find their uses for other purposes in the future.
However, I'd still be interested in knowing what's written in that report. Just curious to read his side of the story!!
I guess you're quite right in depicting it the way you say 'We are maverics against the system'. It reminds me of the all time big hit 'Top gun'
They do certainly use the best sales catalyst. But as you can see there are hardly any takers!!
There was a time people would run after such semi-cooked stuffs on the net but now-a-days it is truly hard to achieve if the product is not beneficial at all. Regards, ArindamSenIndies
Guys.. see, in my opinion insurance agents are the captains of the ship of insurance. They are like the team-leaders in any outsourcing sales-unit who get the heat of their sales managers & the dis-satisfaction of the sales agents. They would need to give all explanations demanded out of challenging sales prospects.
Agents have the tough task of highlighting the benefits of their product-lines as well as explaining the cost factor & making things seem more natural for everyone.
Still, at the end of the day it would be them who would be blamed for everything:
* They would need to get blamed for delivering the wrong product to the customer
* They would be blamed for not making prompt premium-payments even when the delay is caused by their customer.
* Agents would also be blamed for forwarding a wrong claim to the carrier even if it is the outcome of any shady tactics involving the health care unit.
So, guys you see why it is easier to get hold of agents & squeeze them so easily- yes, you got me right this time, it is only because agents remain obligated as the front face of their carriers on most occasions.
Fatman
Also I'd like to add that the agents operate in a highly competitive market, wherein new aspirants are joining in everyday. This too may motivate them to fall into the trap of such sales generators.
