One of the insurance companies offer 15% comission on getting a new policy holder. But after one year agent get only in small amount. Hence they leave the customers responsibility to pay other premiums.
Since they are less accustomed to policy formalities, they get troubled. I have seen around 20% cases including agents changing their job profile, around me. Isn't it resposibilty at least demonstrate the formalities properly. Since many of them are forced to take policies they do not yet keeping proper time frames leaving it onto the agent . This results in troubled policies and a headache for them in future.

I had such a case with my cousin sister.

Well, the agents certainly shouldn't work this way. The business of insurance depends upon the client-agent long term relationship. And, if the agent keeps on deserting his/her clients like this then (s)he is also losing in terms of business.

Vijay, if you are mentioning that the aforementioned incident has taken place with your cousin then I'd say that she needs to educate herself about the policy details and continue with the coverage but never refer the agent to anyone in the future.

Hey guys, I think that people come to this forum when they are into a predicament, so we need to try to help them the best way we can. Unrelated posts often dilute the importance of a matter though we often get tempted to make such posts. I agree that some posts make no or little sense to us, but we always have the option to ask them back if required, right? So, friends can we just stick to the subject matter for the time and concentrate more on what OP has to say Smile

The pub section is always available to us for such posts.
