Hi. I am trying to reapply for my P/C license, but have a criminal history. DOI wants a letter when I go for testing. I want to be truthful about my past, but don't want to blow it and be denied. Do you have any advice or experience with this matter? Hopefully you can answer or at least direct me to some place I can find some answers.
Wants a "letter"? As far as I know, the state should perform a criminal history check on their own. Are you saying they want a letter explaining the charges on your record?
Would like you to go through this page (for an example)
financialacademy.org/ch24.htm
Could it be something of this sort?

I really don't know what they consider in a letter. I'm guessing it's mainly an account of what happen since they don't have access to that information, only the formal charge. I'm not really sure if it can be sugar coated very much. I'd not get into the "crime" very much. Probably want to point out what it was for, that restitution, etc has been made in order to make the situation "right", etc.
Thanks tcope, it seems not very many people have had to deal with this issue and its beginning to make me nerveous. At the same time I wonder if I'm asking this question in the right forum. I really like hanging out here, but am seriously seeking sound advise, maybe I should look elsewhere. You can pm me if you have any ideas.
