I'm active in some other forums and I'm always amazed to find out how few agents are using one of the easiest and most affordable tools to help maintain and yes, even grow their agency...I'm referring to a newsletter!

So I'm just curious to find out if agents who frequent this forum use newsletters and if not...then why not? If yes, I'm curious to discover how often you send it and what type of results you are getting.

Thanks.

Look forward to your feedback.

See You...

I don't use newsletters in insurance selling. But there are other people here in the community that are using that kind of technique.

I am just here to welcome you to the community. Hope you will find your answers here. Enjoy and have a good day.

Newsletters are effective. I used to use them but lately have switched to more informal letters to my clients. THey are usually 1-2 pages and give an update on a specific issue. They are being received well.

I just didn't have time anymore to do a newsletter myself and never have found one here in Canada that suits me.

Can anyone post more specific information about the newsletters they are using?

I'd like to know what companies you use for newsletters and what they charge. Also if any are doing it themselves, what tips they would give to the rest of us.

I create my own. I use the same template but update the information. I have a master email list of all my clients and, through Outlook, have developed "one" contact to send to - that lists each one of them. I update that "one" contact with new customers and customers who have left. The information changes of course - depending on season, what is happening locally, etc. There are several sites I have subscribed to that send me insurance news, insurance jokes, etc so I can include those in my newsletter.

I have done this for almost a year and have yet to hear anyone say they didn't enjoy receiving it.

Of course, you may like to use properly designed newsletter for your high profile customers or customers whom you deal with them in a more formal setting.

Other than that, I guess you can use anything from newsletter to appreciation note, from money tip to short video clip to customers who see you more like a friend.

This little gesture mean a lot to the customers. It promotes good will and cement long term relationship.

There are several companies that offer client newsletters for the insurance industry. Just do a quick google search for insurance newsletters.
