I'm active in some other forums and I'm always amazed to find out how few agents are using one of the easiest and most affordable tools to help maintain and yes, even grow their agency...I'm referring to a newsletter!
So I'm just curious to find out if agents who frequent this forum use newsletters and if not...then why not? If yes, I'm curious to discover how often you send it and what type of results you are getting.
I don't use newsletters in insurance selling. But there are other people here in the community that are using that kind of technique.
I am just here to welcome you to the community. Hope you will find your answers here. Enjoy and have a good day. _________________ Free Insurance Quotes
Newsletters are effective. I used to use them but lately have switched to more informal letters to my clients. THey are usually 1-2 pages and give an update on a specific issue. They are being received well.
I just didn't have time anymore to do a newsletter myself and never have found one here in Canada that suits me. _________________ I am an insurance broker from Ontario licensed for all types of insurance.
It sure helps me get a lot of referrals, especially medicare enrolees. It puts my number out there to my clients friends and family. _________________ Thinking about becoming a health insurance agent or just getting started out as one?
I create my own. I use the same template but update the information. I have a master email list of all my clients and, through Outlook, have developed "one" contact to send to - that lists each one of them. I update that "one" contact with new customers and customers who have left. The information changes of course - depending on season, what is happening locally, etc. There are several sites I have subscribed to that send me insurance news, insurance jokes, etc so I can include those in my newsletter.
I have done this for almost a year and have yet to hear anyone say they didn't enjoy receiving it. _________________ Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. - Ferris Bueller
Of course, you may like to use properly designed newsletter for your high profile customers or customers whom you deal with them in a more formal setting.
Other than that, I guess you can use anything from newsletter to appreciation note, from money tip to short video clip to customers who see you more like a friend.
This little gesture mean a lot to the customers. It promotes good will and cement long term relationship. _________________ I am an insuranc sales coach for almost 2 decades.
