Insurance Community Newsletter

by Insurance Maze » Wed Mar 12, 2008 02:51 pm

The idea is being kicked around about developing an Insurance Community Newsletter.

What do you think?
What information should the newsletter contain?
How do we promote our newsletter?
Who gets the newsletter?
How often should we provide the newsletter - weekly, monthly, quarterly?
Would you be willing to provide articles for the newsletter?

Hope we will have a lot of discussion on this.

Remember, Page 1 of Google by June 30, 2008!

...."What To Do And Not To Do At The Scene Of An Auto Accident"
that's fine, when do you want it and how do you want it? pm/email?

Lori,
I think this would make a great newsletter item, but can you shorten the title a bit? Maybe, "Do's & Don'ts At The Accident Scene", I don't know, it seems difficult to make it shorter. It's your article, so you design the title.

I suggest that you post the article under the "Claims" forum, Lakemen can just get it from there and place it in the newsletter. Can you have it ready by March 28, 2008?
Lakemen, is that soon enough?

Hey guys, do you think that we could try to get a sponsored section, they could put ads in from insurance companies? Just a thought to generate some income to produce the newsletter??????

I think this is an excellent idea for a later date. Before we invite insurance comanies to place ads here, we need to make the forum attractive to all lines of insurance. Right now, the majority of our forum surrounds auto accidents, lawsuits, teen drivers and other topics related to "auto insurance". Why would an insurance company that specializes in Workers' Comp insurance want to place an ad here? The same goes for life insurance companies or health insurance companies.

We must get our members and our guests interested in discussing other forms of insurance, then we would be a complete "insurance community".
We must take the necessary steps to make this forum attractive to all professional insurance agents, as well.

Maze I would say it would be better if Lori wrote the article under her guide section, and then, if she wants, she can start a thread with a link to that article under the claims forums for every one to read. I can get it from there as well. Makes sense?

Lori intends to start with her expert guide section from later this week, so I wont mind if she has the article ready by the 1st of April. :)

Why don't we break down the community discussion areas into ''auto policys and claims'' ''Home Owner policy/claims'' "Life" "Health" Workers comp, blah blah you get he idea...and of course misc. insurance policy/claims...I think sometimes people are confused as to where to post too...not if it's a claim, but a general policy questions, or questions about purchasing different policys etc.
