| Using IE 7 on Windows XP, locks the CPU up at 99% usage for about 30 seconds each time a page loads. Makes the site unusable and cannot visit the site any longer unless corrected as it locks up all other IE sessions. |

I love the new site!!!! Unlike the others I strangely (and thankfully of course ) had no problems opening the site. The home page is especially done very well and the new logo conforms with the theme of the site. I can see the tagline has been changed too Good job done Kudos guys! _________________ AmPmInsure Blog |

Yeah, though I felt little awkward at the beginning with the new design since we are used to in viewing the profile at the left hand side. But the overall look is great.
Great job ol' boy! |

Had the same IE7 issue with CPU usage at 100%, locked up everything.
Seems to be OK today and I'm certainly glad to see the "Live Chat" gone.
I personally don't want to get tangled up in a "Chat" with some of the posters I've seen here.
I'm concerned about the "Get A Quote" on the Home page. Is this community sponsoring one particular insurance company or is it selling insurance leads?
I think the community members should have been involved to some extent in the new design.
I can't seem to find the "Guide" section. I know Investigator re-worked the "Life Insurance" section and I worked on the "Business Insurance" section. Has the "Guide" section been totally removed and where is "Business Insurance"? |

Hey Maze!
Are you talking about the articles that used to be in the former guide section? I found all of them here http://www.ampminsure.org/notepad/archive.html You'll find this inside the 'quick links' box.
Edit: I just saw a link to your Business Insurance guide and Investigator's Life Insurance guide in the insurance experts corner. _________________ AmPmInsure Blog |

Hi InsuranceMaze,
We decided to come up with the insurance quote form following repeated quote-requests from our visitors. We plan to forward valid leads to our community agents in the future.
Regards,

great new look. Nice to get the website out of the 1990s and updated. I also had a problem with IE 7, tried it with Firefox/Mozilla and no probs. I hate Internet Explorer...more and more problems everyday. Google Chrome works well, Mozilla works great, IE is lame. Sorry Bill...

I think that its better put-up something before people and then ask for their feedback. One can then suggest the improvements based on it.
Though its a community but democracy can't be practiced in every aspect. The admin have to have a say on things since its their site after all.
Thanks,

I agree...but then I also believe that the suggestions forwarded by the community members should be considered with time.
The overall look is good, but to me it seems that some of the important sections have not been properly highlighted. I'd sent a PM to lakemen about it and he's said that the designers are still working on things.

Insteach has a point with Internet explorer. I always have trouble with it si I started using foxfire.
As for the suggestions from members..I think it is an excellent idea. This could lead to some good improvements although I think the most recent ones really added quality to the site. Great job! to all who worked on it. |
