is it feasible to try to get life insurance on my 77 year old mother who is very healthy .if so about how much would the premiums be.

If your mother is healthy enough the I dint think there is any problem to get insurance for her, costs may be high but you can get insurance.

Life insurance for older people are costlier than normal peoples.

Oh, so now you are an underwriter? Just because a person says someone they know is healthy doesn't make it so. And some "healthy" people would be surprised to learn what their doctor thinks.
