life insurance is the insurance you you make to any insurance company so that when you die your money can be given to your nest of kin
but life asurance as you asked you have to go to an exper in the insurance company to give you a clear deference on bot topics

Wow, I never knew that after all these years!

ulofasa, I have a question.

What's the difference between Medical Insurance and Health Insurance?

Gary, I think that there is actually a difference between medical insurance and health insurance. Let's see if you buy this...

"Medical" insurance would generally be considered to mean any type of insurance that is intended to cover hospital, medical, surgical and ancillary benefits, like anesthesia, blood, x-rays, etc. I would more distinctly call it "medical expense" insurance. HMOs, PPOs and Major Medical policies would fall into this category.

"Health" insurance, on the other hand, has a much more generic meaning. I would state that health insurance is much broader in scope, and could mean medical expense insurance, but could also include other "health" related categories, like dental coverage, mental health, drug and alcohol addition, disability income, travel accident insurance... you get my drift.

So, whaddya think?

To add to the semantics category: uninsured vs stupid. I know its not in the same vein, but it still works...

I get your drift.....what do I think?

Razz Well, as a direct result of this thread I am going to cancel my auto insurance today and buy car insurance.

Razz I'm also not happy with my homeowner's insurance so I'm going to get property insurance instead.

Razz Further after careful reading I've realized Disability Income Insurance is not as good as Sick or Hurt and Can't Work and Need Money Assurance.

Legally enforceable agreements are better than contracts. Wink

And let's not forget that a Pro-Noun is a Professional person, place or thing.
