Ask him.

Look at his bank statements/checkbook. You will see bank drafts or cancelled checks made out to the insurance company.

Look where he keeps his "important" papers.

Maybe not cancelled checks life...most banks now charge to get these returned to you. I know mine does so I just let them put them on file and if I need them they will look them up (probaly for a fee too). I still say just ask the guy.

Even if they don't send them to you, aren't they printed on the bank statement?

I haven't received the actual check in years, but each one is printed on my statement.

Hi Lori,

I'm up to my earlobes in the discovery process of the Americo case. You might remember that it is the one involving around 70,000 teachers in CA. I'm busy reviewing deposition transcripts and gathering information from potential witnesses. Actually, I like this part the best because I enjoy building rock-solid cases.

Thanks for the message, it's good to see you.

You guys mentioned that on your bank statements they have little copies of the checks. Mine does not offer this. If you want to view one of your checks you usually have to go down to the bank or get on the banks website, log in and then view the check. It sounds a lot easier the way your banks do it.

I've heard of banks like yours too...that's too bad, and what a pain...surely you can access them on line though right?

I can decide if they print the checks on the back of the statement or not. No cost to have it printed either.

Maybe just a phone call to your bank?
