His aunt and and his niece keep asking me did I get the money from his life insurance. His executor bought a house in GA when I turned 18. My father told my mom if anything ever happened to him my sister and I would be taken care of. My parents were never married and my sister was concieved with his ex-wife. I get e-mail and automated phone calls from the insurance comission in NJ and GA, but when I call the telephone nimber provided. I am always told that AN automated system contacted me and they do not see anything in the system. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO RECTIFY THIS SITUATION....I AM DISABLED AND SS IS TELLING ME THAT I GOT MONEY FROM WHEN MY FATHER DIED AND I GOT IT WHEN I TURNED 18YO, BUT I RECIEVED $0. ALSO, SS IS SAYING THAT I NEVER SPENT THE MONEY. WHAT AM I TO DO I HAVE 2 CHILDREN AND NO MEANS TO SUPPORT THEM , 1 CHILD LIVES WITH HIS MOTHER AND I, BUT MY OTHER CHILD LIVES IN DE. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, lets stop and back up...did you ask the aunt that was ex. if there was ever a payment issued? have you contacted these ins. companys direct (not the number left on your phone) and ask if there is or was a policy on dad? and if so has it been paid? _________________ **************************************

Well, if the forgery has taken place several years ago and the aunt had successfully got away with it, I don't think much can be done now. However, you may can still clarify it with the insurance company if you know the name of it. Good Luck!! _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

Oresay, was the policy that you are referring to a social security life insurance policy? Hadn't your mother received any benefits from the SS life survivor benefits? She was eligible to receive the benefits if she was taking care of both you and your sister when your father died since you both were minors. You may wish to check with your mother if she had received any benefit from the SS.
Please, more information is required as to estimate the situation.

I would certainly pursue it the statute wouldn't have begun to run until the OP was 18, I don't know what it is in her state, but there would be more than just a forgery charge assuming this is all true _________________ **************************************
