i need to write an appeal letter because i applied for more life insurance through my company and i was rejected due to 'medical information given on my application.' do life insurance companies reject everyone who takes anti-depressants? if so, there is a huge amount of our population who must not have life insurance. i do not believe it is good practice to deny someone who is responsibly managing their medical needs. can anyone help with a form letter? i have 60 days to appeal.

Happens, what country are you planning on working in? Some carriers are more willing to cover you than others in this situation. If it's country that they deem dangerous (e.g. Iraq) they all will almost certainly decline you.

I too have been denied purchase of a life insurance policy. The reason stated was my major depression/anxiety on multiple meds, hypersomnolence and sleep disorder. They stated that this information was stated in my psychiatrist's chart that she submitted. I have notified them that the hypersomnolence and sleep problems have been resolved with a new CPAP device. I have requested specifics about the psychiatric diagnosis but did not receive any further explanation in their second letter. ANy suggestions about how to get more information? My psychiatrist says she doesn't understand and doesn't get involved with life insurance companies. :?

My son's insurance claim was denied because he committed suicide. There is a clause in my policy that state the claim is payable if he was insane when he committed suicide. How do I approve he was insane when he committed suicide? Do you have an appeal's form letter for a situation like this one
