Surface water flooding also known as rain water flooding is caused by heavy rainfall or by overwhelmed drainage system.
As a fact town centres can be at risk of surface water flooding, especially if it’s on flat plain area and densely populated.
An old drainage system on which the area is relying on can also put it at risk.
But local authorities are getting aware about these concerns and acting upon curbing this problem. Also the fact that these floods are short-lived, may make it to be considered as a normal risk.
I think it’ll be a good idea to mention this point while getting insurance. As far as I think your lender would be already knowing about the survey and it won’t affect the loans. |
