I own a condo and I have a decent home insurance plan. I slipped on the wet floor and broke my right shoulder. I had to undergo a major operation to cure. The incident occurred on 16th of last month. Can I sue my home insurance provider for this?

Was your home owners carrier's negligence what caused you to slip and fall? I'm guessing not. As such, if you sued you'd loose. There is no 1st party injury/liability coverage. This is why people have health insurance.

Did you fall in your unit? If so I guess you need to sue yourself- if so, use the insanity defense.

Did your insurance provider cause your fall? Certainly not, right? So how could you sue them?

You should only sue the person guilty for the entire thing. Since the floor is yours and on top of that, perhaps you were the person to get it completely drenched, you should sue yourself if you really want it.

Few HO insurance policies have medical payments coverage that pays for injuries regardless of fault. However, the residents of the house are excluded in such policies.

File your claim (submit bills) with your health insurance provider if you have any.
