I have recently come across something which now seems quite a big problem for me !

There has been a sudden hike in terms of my car insurance premiums soon after had gone through a couple of auto hazards. The broker has to say that I'm almost 55% at fault towards those mishaps. I'm looking forward towards any help that might see me through a falling rate !

Thanks in Advance, Roger Sinclair

Be sure that your premium is due to rise a bit owing to the accidents if they have occurred one after another within a certain time frame.

But you can certainly challenge this hike by drawing the attention of the Dept. of Public safety. If the DPS decides otherwise then your insurer may need to withdraw the premium rate as also pay you back in terms of any additional amount that you may have already paid to them.

Yeah, I guessed it right !

Lemme say. Louisiana is a comparative negligence state. Over here a driver may land between zero to 100% at fault to each vehicle in any accident.

Your insurer would surely assume a fixed % of fault to each car involved. They would also require maintaining paperworks that supports this hike in rates. This would have to be maintained at the Louisiana Dept. of insurance. regards, fatman

Hey, going to the DPS is certainly an option, but it won't be of any good unless you can establish that you were 50% or somewhat less responsible in terms of injury or damage in atleast one of the mishaps !

So before you go for a hearing, it is very important that you sincerely analyze the facts once more. Once you're sure then you would certainly get this benefit !

wish you all the luck !
