Parents and Life Insurance

For those of us who still have living parents, is it a good idea to make sure that they have sufficient life insurance to at least help with the final expenses we will one day face? Is that smart or is it greedy?

Yes, I bet you have seen a lot.Money is indeed the root of all evil. When a family member dies you will see people crawl out of the woodwork that you have not seen in ages.I think it is sad. I think a person should just sit back and if the deceased wanted you to have something you will get it.

Correct you are but there are cockroaches everywhere. If there is money to be found after death just follow the trail. I myself would just be happy with the memories but not everyone is like this.

Well ladies, wish I had a rich or well off relative to leave me their fortune, LOL. So if either of you need an heir, I am here, LOL.

Hi, Ya'll!! Got my Blog downloaded and wrote a few pages/posts. The Blog is http://militaryinsurance.ampminsure.org/ Tell me what ya think. Also..have a question. If I get a Life Insurance policy, for my son, and ( God ofrbid) something happens to me ( in the 'FAR' future), can my son use HIS Life Insurance for me, too? Just wondering if 'you' could 'combine' insurance policies. I hope I'm being 'clear' on what I'm trying to ask.

I had a DISTANT relative, pass away, a few years ago. Pretty 'well-off'..I guess you can say. My IMMEDIATE family wasn't very close to this relative, though. My parents had called the daughter (of the person who passed away..) and gave 'our respects'. I couldn't believe how many 'brand new best friends, this relative had..AFTER she passed away!! As you said, 'Hummingbird'.."people crawling out of the woodwork." Money isn't everything.......I know my parents will pass on some day, however....i don't want their money, I'd rather have them.
