Marine insurance covers the loss or damage of goods caused at sea. The owner of the damaged goods is compensated for the losses by his marine insurance policy. The loss or damage could be because of fire, shipwreck, etc.Along with the cargo coverage, it also covers the risk of loss to ships and vessels.
