Is Medpoint Advantage a legitimate company?

This is good advice. If you make a call to a known person (such as to the local Social Security Office), it will be OK to give them your SSN if they ask for it. But when someone calls you, you have no idea who they are or where they are, and to give them personal information, like your Social Security Number or your Debit Card PIN number, is asking for trouble.

I have been a member with MedPoint Advantage for 4 1/2 Years. I have been very satisfied with the company and the service they have provided me. I was diagnosed as a type II diabetic over 30 years ago. I went decades without anyone or any company caring about helping me control my diabetes. MedPoint Advantage changed all of that! I have finally got my blood sugar under control and lowered my A1c with their assistance. I no longer test 7 x's daily. I only test twice a day because of the MedPoint Advantage program. My life has improved due to the MedPoint Advantage diabetes management program.
Keep up the great work for all of us seeking help!!!!

I agree with David. MedPoint is a fabulous company. My mother and father both use this company for diabetes care. Without them I could not sleep at night.

I work for Medpoint Advantage and they are a company who provides diabetics with diabetics supplies at no cost to the or any other insurance that they may carry. They receive all of their diabetic testing supplies with no co-pays or deductibles as a medicare beneficiary. The are a family owned company located right here in the united states. The reason your medicare claim number is needed is to verify that you are the medicare beneficiary the benefits are entitled to and to. You get 24 hour care 365 days a year. With medpoint you don't get stuck paying for supplies you don't need or paying for nationwide campaigns and commercials. Any secondary insurance you carry is not billed, unlike big named pharmacies and companies your doctor recommends because they receive kick backs and payments. Medpoint cares about their members and want to save them money. I recommend this company, not only as an employee but as a member myself.

I work for a company that also deals with Medicare and medical supplies. MedPoint may be a legit company, but the way they get their patients is NOT. Medicare has very strict guidelines and they say that you are not to make the first contact with patients by phone call. If the patient has not contacted you first you are not to call them and ask if they want to get supplies from your company. This would be called Medicare Fraud.

Hi. I was just surfing and came across this thread. I worked as an "agent" for this company a year or two ago. As far as I know, very few, if any of the people who call and claim they are "agents" of Medpoint Advantage are actually affiliated with the company. Many of them work for small "fly-by-night" telemarketing companies who probably would use the information you gave them in any way that would make them money. The "agents" that they hire usually include ANYONE who answer their "for hire" ads. Many of them uneducated felons looking for quick cash. If that sounds like the kind of people you would like to give your Social Security Number to, be my guest.

I guess what I'm saying is that maybe instead of asking is Medpoint Advantage a reputable company, you should be asking," is this person really from Medpoint Advantage?". Usually it is a good bet they aren't if they don't give you a callback number.
