I have a felony conviction over 7 years old now, and in another state, that doesn't involve dishonesty, theft, breach of fiduciary trust or responsibility, nor is it violent. Can I get a license to sell insurance and/or investment instruments in Louisiana?
Single, one-time only conviction, terrible mistake but otherwise a law-abiding life. If that makes a difference, anyway.

To the regulator, it may make a difference. You will still have to apply for a license to find out if it is a problem or not.
