Hey, are you talking about insurance policy cancellation? If so, then pls state the type of the policy you want to cancel, because some type of plan may involve a lengthy cancellation process, whereas, for some other types a simple phone call to the insurer may suffice the purpose. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved.
The policy document generally describes the policy cancellation process. Hence I'd rather suggest that you should re-read the policy document for further clarification. Also giving a call to the agent may help.
However, you should consider all the aspects before deciding upon canceling the policy. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved.
All of the companies I work with will accept a signed cancellation request by fax. Some will accept a cancellation request by phone or fax. Perhaps some will need it mailed, but I don't know of any.
You really should call the company to get the procedure and the fax number, but it they will probably just tell you to send them a short letter or fax. It should read something like this:
[Your name]
[Your address]
[Date]
[Company name]
[Company address]
To whom it may concern:
Please cancel my policy #[policy number] as of [date].
If you need to additional information from me in order to cancel this policy, please call me at [phone number].
