The state''s auto insurers are seeking to raise their rates by an average of 13 percent, the industry''s largest proposed increase in more than a decade.
The requested rate increase amounts to an average of about $83 per vehicle, Pearson said. The Insurance Department estimates it would boost insurers'' annual revenue by $510 million.
