I live in the uk and recently tried to claim for some money that was stolen from my wife's bag (it was small winnings accrued from bingo)I was told that it is being refused because she cant produce a bank statement for it and I also have to phone a call centre in India to complain and it is difficult to be understood

however I'm not sure about your query. Is this claim related to insurance? or just you have tried to re-collect the stolen amount from the issuer of the gift. Pls elucidate your problem little more.
