I'm in the military, and I need to re-locate several times. Do I find any coverage that will cover my personal possessions while shipping them or while they're being stored.

If you're being relocated, then your personal belongings would be covered under renters insurance while they're being shipped or stored. On the other hand, if you're traveling, then your luggages would be covered till the limits of your renters insurance.

Make sure that you need renters insurance as a service member. Once you're sure that you need it, try and measure your coverage needs.

I'd agree that the military covers many service-members when they're residing in a govt. housing. But at the same time, you must understand their reimbursement limits. If you're residing in a pvt. housing, then the worth of your personal belongings might just exceed their coverage limits.

I believe you've heard of the 'Personal article floater'. You can add this floater plan to your coverage. This plan would cover the worth of listed items if they exceed your coverage limit.
