Any adjusters here, have an opinion on using an online company such as SettlementCentral that specializes in offering forms, and template letters to use as a source of reference for settlement help in lieu of using attorneys? They claim to be made up of ex insurance claims adjusters and physicians. Ever dealt with a claimant using their forms?

Hi inquiring mind, we have got couple of competent insurance adjusters on board. They'll shortly be around with their feedback.

I personally haven't heard of SettlementCentre's name before, but that doesn't make them fake or unscrupulous, just that I'm not aware of their services. However, I personally would trust dealing with the insurance company directly than using online forms. Its not always necessary to get an attorney to settle the personal injury claim, rather, in most cases we pay the attys unnecessarily.

I was wondering about the cost involved in downloading and using their forms. These surely aren't available free of cost. Now, if they charge as much as the attorney's will ask, I see no benefits in getting their services. I too am waiting to hear from the other members what they think.

I can not imagine that there would be a cost, especially if you take the time to register on their site.

If they do charge, google the form, I am sure that it is somewhere for free.

What I can figure out from their site is that they have a network of personal injury settlement attorneys, who would work at a lower rate on the cases. Beside, I've also searched in their site but couldn't get the required forms, may be you can't get those until you subscribe with the site.

Inquiring Mind, never heard of this, is it simalar (i'd assume) and a public adjuster? I'll try and check the site this morning and let you know what 'my' opinion is, but my first inclination is RUN, how much do they charge etc..? is it for BI's only? what on earth type of 'form' would a person need ? that really doesn't make sense to me...

let us do some checking and get back to this thread should be within the day.

Did she really say, trust the insurance adjuster to tell you what your BI claim is worth? Wasn't there a company that used a philosophy advising insurers to put on the boxing gloves and play hard ball with BI claims settlements and all the rest followed suit in the 90's?

I thought that might be what you were talking about, and that's not what it says or means...he didn't say this at all:
Quote:

All he is saying is he would deal with (negotiate) the claim himself rather than pay someone else some of HIS money to do it for him...

I think you just misunderstood his meaning. Wink
