Well, most of the pet insurance companies won't cover small mammals like ferrets till date the pet insurances are largely available only for the felines and canines. However, there are few pet insurers who would cover a ferret as well. You may need to ask your vet regarding the policies available. You would be better off by purchasing a policy that your vet would accept.

Next, a pet health insurance can also help you in getting coverage for the ferret's medical needs, but make sure that you read the fine prints before signing for the policy.
